Introduction

As one of the world's leading motherboard manufacturers, Gigabyte always provides the top level motherboard from design to performance. The Aorus Z270X Gaming 7 is the flagship motherboard at the same price range as mainstream rivals like Asus Maximus IX Hero or MSI Gaming M7, but is there any different?

Unboxing

Just like the other products in the Aorus family, the look is quite simple, but no less subtle. The front side is very eye-catching, while the back side still provides full information on the attractive features present on the product.

Compared with price, the packaging of Gaming 7 is quite spare, but the amount of accessories inside is also abundant and sufficient for high-end gamer.
Accessories are included with all types of LED, SATA 3, guidebooks, backdoor ports, and especially Nvidia's VGA SLI port, which only appears in premium motherboards.

The Design

The Z270X Gaming 5, 7 and 9 motherboards have a consistent look. The most notable part is the I / O cover design style that is trending this season. Gigabyte has hit the tastes of customers by highlighting the things they want to see first.

The heatsink mosfets on the VRM zone are shaped to feel seamless with the I / O cover design. The heatsink also shared the temperature with a metal tube connecting two panes together.

On the slots, we also find some of the points that make Gaming 7 worth the money that the gamer pays for. All the RAM slots and PCIe X16 are all metal reinforced and all have LEDs synchronize with other lighting systems on the motherboard.

A transparent light guide on the right side of the motherboard is also a highlight of this motherboard. If you do not like the default version of the manufacturer, you can completely make this bar in its own style.

Cool Features

  • RGB Fusion LED Light Show design
  • Smart Fan 5 features Multiple Temperature Sensors and Hybrid Fan Headers
  • Creative Sound Core3D w/ Burr-Brown High End 127 dB DAC

Conclusion

Aorus Z270X - Gaming 7 is a pretty decent motherboard in terms of design and performance potential. A brilliant LEDs system that gamer can hardly deny.
